Yep. I'm that weirdo who loves mustard. If you're on team ketchup, it's probably best if you stop here and go make some cookies or something.
One thing to note - this base recipe is pretty tangy in that way only mustard can be. I love horseradish/other similarly sharp flavors, and even I found myself adding more honey. Just something to keep in mind.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 cup ground mustard seed
2/3 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup honey or more to taste
Pinch of salt
- Combine everything in a small saucepan and cook over medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring often. Once desired consistency is reached, remove from heat, let cool and store in an airtight container.
