HOMEMADE MUSTARD

Yep. I'm that weirdo who loves mustard. If you're on team ketchup, it's probably best if you stop here and go make some cookies or something.

One thing to note - this base recipe is pretty tangy in that way only mustard can be. I love horseradish/other similarly sharp flavors, and even I found myself adding more honey. Just something to keep in mind.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1 cup ground mustard seed

2/3 cup white vinegar

1/3 cup honey or more to taste

Pinch of salt

HOW TO:

  1. Combine everything in a small saucepan and cook over medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring often. Once desired consistency is reached, remove from heat, let cool and store in an airtight container.
