CINNAMON ROLL BLONDIES

All of the dope things about cinnamon rolls without the chore of making them. You need these in your life.

WHAT YOU NEED:

blondies:

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup all-purpose flour

cinnamon swirl:

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

frosting:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups powdered sugar

HOW TO:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8-inch square pan with nonstick spray. Set aside.

  2. Make blondies. In a large bowl, stir together brown sugar and melted butter. Add egg and vanilla and stir until well combined. Fold in flour until no streaks remain. Spread into prepared pan.

  3. Make cinnamon swirl. In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spoon over blondies and use a knife to swirl around into blondie batter.

  4. Bake for 20-28 minutes, or until center is no longer jiggly. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

  5. Make frosting. In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-5 minutes. Spread over cooled blondies. Store in fridge.
