It's hot. These are easy. Done deal.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk (or 2/3 cup water)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups oats
- Liberally coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter, sugars, cocoa powder, and milk (or water). Melt together over medium heat until smooth. Boil for a minute, stirring continuously. Remove from heat.
- Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until combined. Fold in oats.
- Spread mixture into prepared pan. Place in freezer until set, at least 30 minutes, before slicing.
